EPBM-XIV – A Batch with a Difference
EPBM-XIV is the only batch, who was conferred on with their Completion Certificate in a formally organized Valedictory Function at the main auditorium of IIMC. The students of this batch have successfully leveraged the various social networking technologies available today and have formed a very strong cohesive group who has been able to synergize themselves with the faculty & the staff of IIMC to achieve significant milestones.
The co-operation between the students & the IIMC faculty has been unprecedented and the students took the initiative to communicate amongst their batch. The students themselves formed a ranking mechanism to measure their performance against each other, as there is no such measurement system offered by IIMC.
The students of EPBM -XIV knew their respective ranking among the 260 odd students after every exam. Jahangir Shah (Mumbai), the prominent leader of this group; worked extremely hard to manage these rankings and update the whole group after every exam result was declared.
Arijit Mahapatra (Kolkata) was the topper of the batch with 13 Excellents and a Good, followed by Abhishek Gupta (Dehradun) and Rajneesh Mengi (New Delhi)
During the end of the course; the students approached Professor Dr. Saibal Chattopadhyay, the Director of EPBM program with a special request to organize a Valedictory Function for the EPBM14 students. Although, IIMC had initial reservations about organizing this function, especially due to logistical issues; but when a group of students again led by Jahangir Shah (Mumbai), Abhishek Gupta (Dehradun) & Srividya Subramanian (Dubai) offered to take the entire responsibility of managing this event, IIMC gladly accepted this request.
The Professors were felicitated by the students along with the LDP Program Manager Ms. Subhra Dhar & Program Coordinator Ms.Chaitali Chakraborty. The students and their family members were given a personalized memento to mark this important event in their lives.
